Since 1983 the Superstition Community Food Bank has served thousands of individuals and families in need in Gold Canyon, Northwest Pinal County, and East Mesa. The office at 575 N Idaho Road in Apache Junction offers an air-conditioned respite site for people who need water and a place to cool down.
WHY:
Always Best Care of Mesa co-owner Ganeen Harstick says, “Seniors in our community are struggling right now with the effects of inflation and low-quality tap water in many areas. Add in the oppressive heat, and they are very vulnerable to becoming dehydrated. At Always Best Care, we believe in doing everything we can to help seniors live a safe and independent lifestyle, and this water drive for the food bank is another opportunity to take care of our neighbors in a time of need. We hope other businesses and individuals can join with us in helping to stock this hydration station.”
