Home Care Clarkson, ON

They say that your golden years are the best years of your life. For most older Americans, that's how it should be - a time to relax, reflect, and live life in a familiar place. After all, senior citizens in the U.S. have worked tirelessly to build a better economy, serve their communities, and raise families.

However, as seniors grow older, completing daily tasks like showering and enjoying activities such as visiting the historic Benares Historic House gets harder without someone by their side. Unfortunately, many older Americans aren't able to rely on their adult children for help. The reality in today's world is that family members do not have the skills or time to dedicate to caring for their parents. That's where Always Best Care Senior Services comes in.

Our in-home care services are for people who prefer to stay at home as they grow older but need ongoing care that family or friends cannot provide. More and more older adults prefer to live far away from long-term, institutionalized facilities and closer to the place where they feel most comfortable - their home. Home care in Clarkson, ON is a safe, effective way to give your loved ones the care they need when they need it the most.

What is Non-Medical Senior Care in Clarkson, ON?

lm-check

Home is where the heart is. While that saying can sound a tad cliche, it is especially true for many seniors living in America. When given a choice, older adults most often prefer to grow older at home. An AARP study found that three out of four adults over the age of 50 want to stay in their homes and communities as they age.

lm-check

When you begin to think about why, it makes sense. Home offers a sense of security, comfort, and familiarity.

lm-check

The truth is, as we age, we begin to rely on others for help. When a family is too busy or lives too far away to fulfill this role, in-home senior care is often the best solution. Home care services allow seniors to enjoy personal independence while also receiving trustworthy assistance from a trained caregiver.

lm-check

At Always Best Care, we offer a comprehensive range of home care services to help seniors stay healthy while they get the help they need to remain independent. As your senior loved one gets older, giving them the gift of senior care is one of the best ways to show your love, even if you live far away.

Respite Care

Respite Care Services

According to AARP, more than 53 million adults living in the U.S. provide care to someone over 50 years old. Unfortunately, these caregivers experience stress, exhaustion, and even depression. Our respite care services help family caregivers address urgent obligations, spend time with their children, and enjoy nearby activities. Perhaps more importantly, respite care gives family members time to recharge and regroup. Taking personal time to de-stress reduces the risk of caregiver burnout. So, if you've always wanted to eat at the local Le Relais Restaurant or visit Clarkson Historical Museum, don't feel bad. Doing so is great for both you and your loved one.

At the end of the day, our goal is to become a valuable part of your senior's daily routine. That way, we may help give them the highest quality of life possible. We know that staying at home is important for your loved one, and we are here to help make sure that is possible.

If you have been on the fence about non-medical home care, there has never been a better time than now to give your senior the care, assistance, and companionship they deserve.

Aging in Place: The Preferred Choice for Most Seniors

While it's true that some seniors have complicated medical needs that prevent them from staying at home, aging in place is often the best arrangement for seniors and their families. With a trusted caregiver, seniors have the opportunity to live with a sense of dignity and do so as they see fit - something that is unavailable to many older people today.

In-home care makes it possible for millions of seniors to age in place every year. Rather than moving to a strange nursing home, seniors have the chance to stay at home where they feel the happiest and most comfortable.

Here are just a few of the reasons why older men and women prefer to age at home:

How much does a senior's home truly mean to them?

A study published by the American Society on Aging found that more than half of seniors say their home's emotional value means more than how much their home is worth in monetary value. It stands to reason, then, that a senior's home is where they want to grow old.

With the help of elderly care in Clarkson, ON, seniors don't have to age in a sterilized care facility. Instead, they can age gracefully in the place they want to be most: their home. In contrast, seniors who move to a long-term care facility must adapt to new environments, new people, and new systems that the facility implements. At this stage in life, this kind of drastic change can be more harmful than helpful.

Institutional care facilities like nursing homes often put large groups of people together to live in one location. On any given day, dozens of staff members and caregivers run in and out of these facilities. Being around so many new people in a relatively small living environment can be dangerous for a seniors' health and wellbeing. When you consider that thousands of seniors passed away in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting for in-home care is often a safer, healthier choice for seniors.

Aging in place has been shown to improve seniors' quality of life, which helps boost physical health and also helps insulate them from viral and bacterial risks found in elderly living facilities.

For many seniors, the ability to live independently with assistance from a caregiver is a priceless option. With in-home care, seniors experience a higher level of independence and freedom - much more so than in other settings like a nursing home. When a senior has the chance to age in place, they get to live life on their own terms, inside the house that they helped make into a home. More independence means more control over their personal lives, too, which leads to increased levels of fulfillment, happiness, and personal gratification. Over time, these positive feelings can manifest into a healthier, longer life.

More independence, a healthier life, and increased comfort are only a few benefits of aging in place. You have to take into consideration the role of cost and convenience. Simply put, it's usually easier and more affordable to help seniors age in place than it is to move them into an institutional care facility. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, seniors who age in the comfort of their homes can save thousands of dollars per month.

In-home care services from Always Best Care, for instance, are often less expensive than long-term solutions, which can cost upwards of six figures per year. To make matters worse, many residential care facilities are reluctant to accept long-term care insurance and other types of payment assistance.

With Always Best Care's home care services, seniors and their families have a greater level of control over their care plans. In-home care gives seniors the chance to form a bond with a trusted caregiver and also receive unmatched care that is catered to their needs. In long-term care facilities, seniors and their loved ones have much less control over their care plan and have less of a say in who provides their care.

Affordable Care

In-home care is a valuable resource that empowers seniors to age in place on their own terms. However, a big concern for many families and their loved ones is how much in-home care costs. If you're worried that in-home care is too expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that it is one of the most affordable senior care arrangements available.

Typically, hiring an Always Best Care in-home caregiver for a few hours a week is more affordable than sending your loved one to a long-term care facility. This is true even for seniors with more complex care needs.

At Always Best Care, we will work closely with you and your family to develop a Care Plan that not only meets your care needs, but your budget requirements, too. Once we discover the level of care that you or your senior need, we develop an in-home care plan that you can afford.

In addition to our flexible care options, families should also consider the following resources to help offset potential home care costs:

If your loved one qualifies, Medicaid may help reduce in-home care costs. Review your ON's Medicaid program laws and benefits, and make sure your senior's financial and medical needs meet Medicaid eligibility requirements.
Attendance and aid benefits through military service can cover a portion of the costs associated with in-home care for veterans and their spouses.
Many senior care services like in-home care are included in long-term care insurance options. Research different long-term care solutions to find a plan that provides coverage for senior care.
Home care can be included as part of a senior's private insurance plan. Read over your loved one's insurance policy carefully or speak with their insurance provider to determine if in-home care is covered.
Depending on the life insurance plan, you may be able to apply your policy toward long-term care. You may be able to use long-term-care coverage to help pay for in-home elderly care.

Compassionate Care. Trusted Caregivers.

When you or your senior loved one needs assistance managing daily tasks at home, finding a qualified caregiver can be challenging. It takes a special kind of person to provide reliable care for your senior loved one. However, a caregiver's role involves more than meal preparation and medication reminders. Many seniors rely on their caregivers for companionship, too.

Our companion care services give seniors the chance to socialize in a safe environment and engage in activities at home. These important efforts boost morale and provide much-needed relief from repetitive daily routines. A one-on-one, engaging conversation can sharpen seniors' minds and give them something in which to be excited.

At Always Best Care, we only hire care providers that we would trust to care for our own loved ones. Our senior caregivers in Clarkson, ON understand how important it is to listen and communicate with their seniors. A seemingly small interaction, like a short hug goodbye, can make a major difference in a senior's day. Instead of battling against feelings of isolation, seniors begin to look forward to seeing their caregiver each week.

Understanding the nuances of senior care is just one of the reasons why our care providers are so great at their job.

Unlike some senior care companies, our caregivers must undergo extensive training before they work for Always Best Care. In addition, our caregivers receive ongoing training throughout the year. This training ensures that their standard of care matches up to the high standards we've come to expect. During this training, they will brush up on their communication skills, safety awareness, and symptom spotting. That way, your loved one receives the highest level of non-medical home care from day one.

Assisted Living Referral Services

While it's true that many seniors prefer to age at home, sometimes in-home care isn't the best fit. For those seniors and their families, choosing an assisted living facility makes more sense. Unfortunately, finding the optimal care facility is easier said than done in today's day and age. That's when Always Best Care's assisted living referral services begin to make a lot of sense.

Assisted living is a form of housing intended for seniors who require varying degrees of medical and personal attention. Accommodations may include single rooms, apartments, or shared living arrangements. Assisted living communities are typically designed to resemble a home-like environment and are physically constructed to encourage the independence of residents.

Respite Care Clarkson, ON

At assisted living communities, seniors receive help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They may also benefit from coordination of services with outside healthcare providers, and monitoring of resident activities to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Caregivers who work at assisted living communities can also provide medication administration and personal care services for older adults.

Other services offered within assisted living communities can include some or all of the following:

  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Recreational Activities
  • Social Outings
  • Emergency Medical Response
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Family Visitation
  • Personal Care
 Caregivers Clarkson, ON

At Always Best Care, our representatives can match your senior's emotional, physical, and financial needs with viable assisted living communities nearby. Results are based on comparative data, so you can select the best choice for you or your loved one.

Always Best Care works closely with local senior living communities to gain valuable knowledge that we then use to help seniors and their loved ones make informed decisions. This information can include basic care and rent, resident availability, and services provided. Because Always Best Care is compensated by these communities, we provide senior living referral services at no extra cost to you.

Some of the most popular assisted living communities to consider in our area include the following:

  • Clarkson Community Care Center
  • Sunrise of Chesterfield
  • Serene Gardens of Clarkston
  • Addington Place of Clarkston
  • Pines of Clarkston
  • Monark Grove Clarkston
Home Care Clarkson, ON

For many seniors, moving into a senior living community revolves around how and when they want to make a transition to more involved care. Some seniors are more proactive about transitioning to independent living. Others choose to remain home until their care needs or other requirements are satisfied. Remember - our staff is here to help. Contact our office today to learn more about assisted living communities and how we can find a facility that exceeds your expectations.

A Los Angeles County judge handed Kelly Clarkson a key victory as the singer heads to trial against her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

With the date now set for August 27, the trial will focus exclusively on whether Blackstock, 47, collected fees on deals he helped broker for Clarkson, 42, in violation of California’s Talent Agencies Act. The law prohibits anyone other than licensed talent from taking commission on deals procured for professional artists.

“We will litigate whether there was a violation of the labor code only. Any questions as to earnings and damages, all of that will come after,” Judge Wendy Chang ruled.

This trial stems from an appeal Blackstock filed against a November 2023 ruling that awarded Clarkson $2.6 million. The “de novo” trial means the case will get a fresh look in state court.

Blackstock’s lawyers hoped this trial would also focus on breach-of-contract allegations it filed against Clarkson in 2020 and on Clarkson’s personal finances. Doing so, his lawyers say, would have confirmed that the commission fees were used to pay joint expenses and afforded Clarkson a lifestyle she “was able to enjoy.”

“It is morally, ethically and legally wrong to attempt to get monies back from your ex-husband who not only helped her as her manager but who used those earnings on their children and Kelly and Brandon’s lifestyle during the marriage,” Bryan Freedman, a lawyer for Blackstock and his management firm, Starstruck Entertainment, wrote in a statement shared with Rolling Stone.

The trial is expected to last at least five days and to include live testimony from Rick Roskin and Darryl Eaton, two agents with Clarkson’s current agency, CAA. Blackstock claims Roskin and Eaton were with him at The Voice’s studio in May 2017 just before he allegedly spoke with the NBC executive who offered Clarkson a spot on the show. Blackstock allegedly took a commission when Clarkson was named a judge on The Voice for the show’s 14th season.

Court filings obtained by Rolling Stone say that CAA agent Cat Carson testified last year that the two did not ask Blackstone to negotiate directly with the NBC executive.

Clarkson’s lawyer, Ed McPherson, argued that if the singer prevails in the de novo trial, then Blackstock will not be able to pursue his additional claims.

“If we win everything at de novo, they don’t even get a trial. They have no right to anything. There would be no management agreement, and they get no commissions,” McPherson explained, according to Rolling Stone.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in May 2020. The two were married for seven years and share two children, River Rose, 9, and Remington, 7.

The nominations for the 2024 Daytime Emmys were announced on Friday (April 19). The Kelly Clarkson Show is out to defend its title as outstanding daytime talk series against four challengers – The Jennifer Hudson Show (which was also nominated in the category last year), Tamron Hall, The View and Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts.

Kelly Clarkson is also defending her title as outstanding daytime talk series host. Clarkson is squaring off against Tamron Hall (who was also nominated in the category last year), the hosts of The View and The Talk, and Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa from Live with Kelly and Mark. Ripa was nominated in this category last year with her former co-host, Ryan Seacrest. Consuelos, to whom Ripa is married, took Seacrest’s place on the show when the Busiest Man in Show Business decided to be just a little less busy. Jennifer Hudson and Robin Roberts weren’t nominated in this category this year.

Clarkson has won seven Daytime Emmys over the first four seasons of her popular talk show. Hudson has yet to win a Daytime Emmy for her talk show, though she did win one in 2021 for outstanding interactive media for a daytime program for Baba Yaga – on her way to becoming an EGOT.

Drew Barrymore, who was nominated for both outstanding daytime talk series and outstanding daytime talk series host last year with The Drew Barrymore Show, wasn’t nominated in either category this year.

Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays (Food Network), hosted by Selena Gomez, is nominated for outstanding culinary series. It is competing with series headlined by such celebs as Ina Garten, Valerie Bertinelli and Zooey Deschanel.

TV legend Dick Van Dyke, 98, is nominated for guest performance in a daytime drama series for his appearance on Days of our Lives on Peacock.

If it doesn’t seem like a full year has gone by since the last Daytime Emmys, you’re on to something. The 2023 Daytime Emmys were held on Dec. 15. They had been delayed six full months because of last year’s strikes by the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA.

The 51st Daytime Emmy Awards telecast will be presented live on Friday, June 7, at 8 p.m. ET (delayed PT) on CBS, and will available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+. This will mark the 18th time CBS has broadcast the Daytime Emmys, which is more than any other network.

The Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards will be presented the following night. It will stream live at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Saturday, June 8, at watch.TheEmmys.tv and via The Emmys apps for iOS, tvOS, Android, FireTV, and Roku.

Both ceremonies will take place at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles. Ticket sales will begin Wednesday, May 1. Lifetime achievement honorees, hosts, presenters, and silver and gold circle honorees will be announced at a later date.

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is produced by NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI). Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong are executive producers from NATAS, while David McKenzie is executive producer from ATI.

The Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974. In 2021, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and the Television Academy jointly announced plans to realign the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards to be organized by content genre, as opposed to program airtime.

Here are the 2024 Daytime Emmy nominations in selected categories.

It’s been four years since Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from her ex-husband and manager, Brandon Blackstock, and still, there are aftershocks rumbling from the contentious uncoupling.

It’s been a long, bitter end to a relationship that officially began in 2012, though Clarkson and Blackstock first met years prior. Blackstock’s dad, Narvel, was Clarkson’s manager, and in 2006, they crossed paths when Clarkson collaborated with Rascal Flats, whom Brandon was managing at the time. Blackstock was also married then, so it wasn’t until he divorced that he and Clarkson reconnected after the latter sang the National Anthem at the 2012 Super Bowl.

They married in 2013 and had two children: a daughter born in 2014 and a son born in 2016. Throughout their time together, Blackstock also served as Clarkson’s manager, an arrangement that’s still causing problems as they continue to untangle their working relationship after the resounding end of their romantic one.

With Clarkson opening up another chapter in the ongoing saga earlier this week, as she seeks more money from a California Labor Commission ruling on Blackstock’s business practices, here’s a timeline of a high-profile split that’s played out in courtrooms and tabloids, as much as songs and stages.

Clarkson files for divorce

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock on June 4, 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. In the original filing, Clarkson asked the court to enforce a prenup agreement, ensure she wouldn’t have to pay Blackstock spousal support, and that both parties would cover their own legal fees. Clarkson also requested that her last name be restored after taking Blackstock’s when they wed.

Over the next few months, Clarkson spoke openly about the divorce. She, obviously, did not share specific details, especially anything pertaining to her kids, but she was candid about her feelings and the challenges of going through such a personal thing in the public eye. In an Oct. 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight, she called the split “horribly sad,” adding: “The thing that’s been kind of hard to navigate is I am an open book, but at some point, I’m a mama bear more than I am a person in the public eye. So I care 100 percent more about my children than I do anything else on this planet.”

Contractual disputes

In Sept. 2020, amidst the divorce proceedings, Starstruck Entertainment, the management company owned by Blackstock’s father, sued Clarkson. They accused her of allegedly breaching her “oral” management contract and owing over $1.4 million in commissions. On top of that, the firm claimed it “developed Clarkson into a mega superstar” and would likely be owed $5.4 million in commissions by the end of the year. Clarkson filed a response to the suit to the California Labor Commission in Nov. 2020 — but the dispute would fall by the wayside for the next three years.

Clarkson awarded primary custody

Also in Nov. 2020, a judge awarded Clarkson primary custody of her and Blackstock’s two kids. In the ruling, the judge said “that under the circumstances present in this case, the interest in providing stability and continuity for the minor children weighs in favor” of Clarkson (though Blackstock was still allowed to visit and was granted certain holidays with their kids). The filing also noted that “the level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them.”

Clarkson declared legally single

In July 2021, as the official divorce proceedings were still technically dragging on, Clarkson asked a judge to declare her legally single. In a court filing, she said that the couple’s “irreconcilable differences” had caused their marriage to “irretrievably break down,” adding: “No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time.” The filing did strike a conciliatory note, however, with Clarkson saying she and Blackstock “both deserve the opportunity to build a new life.”

The request was granted the following month.

Divorce finalized

Almost two years after first filing, Clarkson and Blackstock’s divorce was officially finalized in March 2022. The final ruling did come down pretty hard on Clarkson, though: She was ordered to pay Blackstock a one-time lump sum of over $1.3 million, $45,000 a month in child support, and $115,000 a month in spousal support until Jan. 31, 2024. The pair also agreed to joint custody of their kids, though the two would live primarily with Clarkson in Los Angeles.

Court documents detailed a variety of other items divvied up between the two. While Clarkson got the family pets and a flight simulator, Blackstock was awarded their “farm cattle, livestock, stock dogs, and horses” (ostensibly from the ranch they shared in Montana), a couple of snowmobiles, and some Patek Philippe watches.

Break-up album incoming

A few months after the divorce was finalized, in Sept. 2022, Clarkson told Variety that she was getting ready to release her first album of all-new material since 2017’s Meaning of Life. The singer revealed, too, that the LP would very much be a divorce album, acknowledging she’d started working on it two years prior, just as proceedings were getting underway.

“My producer and I were laughing yesterday because I was like, ‘Remember that time we wrote, like, 25 songs in a week?’” Clarkson recalled. “A lot of those are the ones that are on the album. I literally wrote most of these almost two years ago. Then I told my label, ‘I can’t talk about this until I’ve gone through it,’ and it’s just taken some time to do that. That’s one of the reasons we’ve done a lot of Christmas stuff the past two years — because I was like, ‘Well, that’s happy!’”

The Chemistry era

Clarkson officially announced her new album, Chemistry, in March 2023 — pointedly one year after her divorce was finalized — and it arrived a few months later on June 23. In a four-star review, Ilana Kaplan wrote for Rolling Stone: “Clarkson’s healing journey isn’t linear or without its sharp edges — it’s a twisty roller coaster burning with grief, rage, and regret. After all, hell hath no fury like a pop star scorned.”

Clarkson carried that Chemistry energy to the stage. A few days after announcing the album, on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she covered Gayle’s hit “Abcdefu” with a few lyrical tweaks to both appease daytime TV censors and to be about her divorce. Even bolder, in August, she transformed her own 2015 song, “Piece by Piece,” from a devotional anthem about Blackstock into one of self-empowerment.

A belated victory

In Nov. 2023, three years after Clarkson took Blackstock and Starstruck to task in front of the California Labor Commission, she emerged victorious, with the board ruling Blackstock charged Clarkson for business deals he wasn’t licensed to seek. In California, managers cannot act as agents, and as such, Clarkson successfully argued that Blackstock must return commissions he received for securing the singer contracts with The Voice, Norwegian Cruise Lines, the Billboard Music Awards, and even her Wayfair commercials. In total, the court said Blackstock owed Clarkson $2.6 million.

Blackstock appealed the decision, arguing he and Starstruck deserve a separate trial on the matter. With that decision still pending, Clarkson decided to fire off another salvo: In March 2024, she filed a cross-complaint in response to Starstruck’s original 2020 lawsuit, seeking to affirm the Labor Commission’s ruling and potentially expand the $2.6 million she was awarded.

The hotly anticipated third season of Clarkson’s Farm lands in just a week and promises a blizzard of schemes, freakish weather and a continuing battle with West Oxfordshire District Council.

Series 3 continues to follow Jeremy Clarkson as he attempts to make his Diddly Squat Farm near Chipping Norton profitable - and it's no less chaotic.

After the triumphant finale of Season 2, where Jeremy and the gang managed to open their restaurant against all the odds, we return to Diddly Squat to find that everything has come crashing down.

The council has served a closure notice on the restaurant and now has its sights set on the farm shop and its car park.

This in turn means most of Jeremy’s beloved cow herd must go.

And on to add to the pain the freakish weather is ruining the crops, with Cheerful Charlie warning of crippling costs and poor yields.

Desperate to find new income streams, Jeremy decides to “farm the unfarmed” – to try and make money from the 500 acres of hedgerows and woodland where no crops are grown.

This ignites a blizzard of schemes that he hopes will generate cash and like some frenzied Apprentice candidate, Jeremy bounces between pig farming, jam making, goat herding, deer hunting and mushroom growing.

These ventures vary between success and total failure as along the way he learns how to raise pigs and fight off marauding goats, whilst at the same time coping with a mushroom epidemic that threatens to engulf him.

Meanwhile Kaleb, now promoted to farm manager and in charge of the fields, is not only in competition with Jeremy to see who can make the most money, but he must also deal with an unwelcome rival who has a new way of growing crops.

However he still finds time with Charlie to accept an invitation to Downing St, where he dispenses some Kaleb wisdom.

Elsewhere Charlie is leading the Battle of the Red Tape against the council, as he tries to save the farm shop from closure, the place where Lisa must deal with the fruits of Jeremy’s hare brained schemes.

Amongst all the joyful and calamitous moments though, there is genuine heartbreak as we see Jeremy and Lisa unable to cope with some of the animal deaths.

Without a doubt this season contains the saddest moments ever seen on Diddly Squat, all of them part of the tapestry of life on a farm.

Clarkson's Farm series 3 launches globally on Prime Video on May 3 2024.

The Kelly Clarkson Show Host had her audience completely captivated as she covered, "Over the Rainbow," in a gorgeously stripped-down performance with just her onstage, backed by her guitarist, Jaco Caraco. The Oscar-winning classic is from the 1939 beloved film, The Wizard of Oz, and was made famous by star, Judy Garland. And judging by the YouTube comments we think Garland would approve of Clarkson's cover.

Kelly Clarkson covers Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow"

"I think Judy would be proud of this. Knowing her legacy still lives on in this rendition made me smile," wrote one viewer in the comments, with another adding: "Kudos Kelly, your tone, the rainbow shining bright, those guitar strings, how they were plucked, FABULOUS!"

Instagram user ma.rgaret340 was in the studio audience for this performance, and in the Instagram comments wrote: "She said they had just decided to do this beautiful song. She and the guitarist practiced for just a few minutes and then she performed what you see and hear here. She's so talented."

This isn't the first time Clarkson has sung "Over the Rainbow" on TV. Back in 2017, she co-hosted TODAY with Hoda Kotb, and her two adorable kids, River Rose and Remington Alexander, briefly joined her at the host desk. When Kotb asked what lullabies Clarkson sings to River Rose, the former The Voice Coach answered "Over the Rainbow," and then began to sing some of the chorus, as her daughter and Kotb joined in.

"Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland lyrics

Somewhere over the rainbowWay up highThere's a land that I heard ofOnce in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbowSkies are blueAnd the dreams that you dare to dreamReally do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a starAnd wake up where the clouds are far behind meWhere troubles melt like lemon dropsAway above the chimney topsThat's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbowBluebirds flyBirds fly over the rainbowWhy then, oh, why can't I?

Somewhere over the rainbowBluebirds flyBirds fly over the rainbowWhy then, oh, why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds flyBeyond the rainbowWhy, oh why can't I?
